Integrated care for patients and families with genetic predispositions

This project, approved by the governance of AP-HP and launched in 2025, aims to provide integrated care for patients and families with genetic predispositions to leukemia and related disorders, which currently represent 5 to 10% of patients.

Led by Professor Sébert, in collaboration with Professors Jeunemaitre and Soulier, this new initiative will fund a unique care pathway in France for adult patients and their relatives in an outpatient hospital setting.

The project will also enable the development of ambitious clinical, translational, and basic research programs, with the support of the Paris Saint-Louis Leukemia Institute, based on the exceptional recruitment in this activity.

The hope of elucidating the mechanisms of leukemogenesis in these patients could lead to dedicated follow-ups and preventive leukemia care for individuals with genetic predispositions.
